A Crossroads Foundation Partner School
Our Kindergarten Program
Kindergarten children are active, curious learners who need space, a variety of materials and large blocks of time to try out their ideas, gain experience and expand their learning.
Kindergarten is a child-centered, safe, learning environment providing your child with a rich and stimulating atmosphere for learning.
The Kindergarten curriculum is sensitive to the
-
needs,
-
interests,
-
and background experiences of each child.
It integrates all content areas to provide a solid foundation for learning in
-
language, literacy,
-
math, science, social studies,
-
health, art, music, and movement.
At all times, the curriculum responds to the nature of the child rather than try to "fit" the child to the curriculum.
Our kindergarten students develop a real joy and wonder of our God; learn social skills such as cooperation, negotiation, and working well within a group; explore their environment while making choices in areas that improve investigation, problem solving, and critical thinking skills; and obtain a strong foundation building the skills, knowledge and attitudes necessary for lifelong learning.
